Beta Updates

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the delay. My laptop is still down and mr. sushinut was doing work on his computer so I wasn't able to sneak in and post!

But all looks good so far... knock on wood...

15dpo:
Beta 810 (holy crap and I was just hoping for almost 200!)
Prog: 51 (much better)
Estrogen: 691 (is this normal? Dr. said it was good. So I guess so)

17dpo:
Beta - 1942 (Holly Crap Again! Does this seem high to anyone else?)

I am beyond excited to say the least (which should last maybe about 24 hours before I start freaking out with worry again) but as we are well aware, we are no where near out of the woods, considering I didn't find out about my first miscarriage until close to 3 months. But hopefully that was because of the Septum issue.

But should I be concerned about a molar pregnancy? Or excited about the possibility of twins? I did the only thing I could think of which was check the two blogs I followed that did have twin betas. And both Watson and Newt had much lower betas at this stage (if I did my research correctly) than this! Maybe I'm just a freak ute and just surge up more HCG? Geeze, it's either all or nothing with me! But I guess if I had to choose I'd take the higher beta.

What does everyone think? I asked the doctor's office and they said that anything over 300 they consider a possibility of multiples (!!!!) Which of course I wouldn't mind but as you can imagine it's a little hard to wrap my head around considering I could barely get one going before.

I am to call in on Monday and schedule my ultra sound in two weeks. Please God give me the patience to make it that far.

Woo hoo! Awesome numbers. Betas are strange and there is so much variability, I think they really can just tell you that yes you indeed are pregnant right now (holy f&c*!!!!!) So happy for you.

Here is a post from one of my twin bloggers (Freezer Buns):

Betab*ase is finally back up! This is a website where women enter their betas for singleton or multiple pregnancies (where a heartbeat was detected) and it gives you the high, low and median. The betas at 14dpo (which would be equivalent to my 9dp5dt on last Thursday) for a singleton pregnancy range from 3-2,088 with the median at 101. At 16dpo (equivalent to last Saturday for me), the range goes from 5-2,744 with the median at 198. For twins, the betas at 14dpo range from 17-945 with the median at 203. The 16dpo range for twins is 33-2,194 with the median at 396. For triplets and higher, the betas at 14dpo range from 23-1,157 with the median at 265. The 16dpo range for triplets and higher is 16-2,883 with the median at 541.

Woo Hoo! Those are great numbers!

Try not to drive yourself crazy with wondering. I do think it sounds like multiples, but the ranges for betas are all over the place even for singletons. I think your body is just shifting into high gear!

Go, Sushibaby, go!

That's awesome news!!!

I had some high beta fears/hopes too, as mine was 6457 at 19dpo (and 17901 at 22 dpo), which was completely off the charts, but it was (and remains) a singleton.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you about a fabulous ultrasound in a couple of weeks!

Awesome! Awesome! Great, great news! I've seen really high betas for singletons, but it would be really great for you to have multiples. I am very happy for you. I'll be waiting anxiously these next two weeks for your first ultrasound. Super news!!!

Terrific news re: your betas! This next 2WW (the one between your last beta and the first ultrasound) may be a bit tense but just take it moment by moment. And continue to believe in this pregnancy - Yeeee!
